ACG Parnell College’s senior students have once again performed to the highest of their abilities and achieved amazing success in their recent A-Level assessments.

Facing the rigorous Cambridge International Curriculum examinations after an extended lockdown period and sitting exams under strict Covid-19 safeguarding protocols (including having all exams in “bubbles” of 10 students) could have been an extremely daunting prospect for our senior students. However, by combining our highly interactive online learning programme with the support and guidance of expert teachers, our Year 12 and 13 cohorts have continued to excel on the worldwide stage.

Consequently, the school is now celebrating another year of outstanding academic accomplishment.

AS-Level success (the initial stage of senior student study)

• 94% pass rate
• 46% of papers received A grades (80% or better)

A2-Level success (final stage of senior student study)

• 100% pass rate
• 58% of papers received A* or A grades (80% or better)

These outcomes illustrate extraordinary performances across all subject areas, with students attaining impressive A-Level pass rates for the ninth consecutive year.

Principal Damian Watson was delighted with these exceptional results, which continue to showcase the school’s reputation for excellence in academic achievement.

“I’m incredibly proud of all of our senior students who, after such a challenging year, have received some of ACG Parnell College’s best A-Level results,” says Principal Watson. “Two particularly significant highlights are firstly, a remarkable 36% of all A-Level papers our students sat received an A* grade, that is, a mark of 90% or better, and secondly, 46% of AS-Level papers were graded at A. Both of these results are an improvement on the 2020 results. Accordingly, they have placed our students in a strong position for completing either their A-Levels this year or commencing their tertiary studies.”
