Music Programme

Our music department offers an extensive curriculum that caters to diverse musical interests and abilities. Students can learn to play different instruments through our itinerant teaching programme or access specialised instruction through our Epsom Music School partnership. Whether drawn to classical traditions, jazz improvisation, or contemporary rock, every student is guided to find their musical path.

The music department features cutting-edge production software and technology, ensuring students gain practical experience with industry-standard tools. Regular performances, including open mic nights and formal concerts, provide platforms for students to share their progress and celebrate their achievements.

Ensemble opportunities include concert band, symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, jazz band, string groups, and various choirs. These collaborative experiences teach students the value of teamwork while developing their musical skills. Our annual musical production brings together singers, dancers, actors, musicians, and technical crew in a large-scale performance that showcases months of dedicated preparation.

Drama & Theatre

Our Senior and Junior Drama Clubs offer structured environments where students explore character development, script analysis, and performance techniques.

Theatresports competitions challenge students to think quickly and creatively under pressure, developing essential problem-solving skills. Through participation in regional and national Shakespeare Festival competitions, students engage with classical texts while refining their interpretive abilities.

These experiences enhance public speaking skills, foster empathy through character work, and encourage creative risk-taking, preparing students for a broad range of future careers. Additionally, they learn to communicate effectively with different audiences, developing the confidence and self-reliance that serve them well beyond the stage.

Design & Technology courses foster technological awareness alongside attitudes of cooperation and social responsibility. Students learn to approach challenges systematically, considering both aesthetic and functional requirements in their creative solutions.
