Continuous education
ACG Parnell provides a seamless education from Early Learning – Year 13. This creates a close sense of community and the ideal conditions for our students’ academic, social and emotional development.
Because our students are with us all the way through, we can track their learning journey, closely monitor their social development and help them become well-adjusted, well-rounded young people, ready to take their place on the world stage.
Early Learning (3 months-5 years)
Nurturing the early years
The Early Learning School has a structured learning programme inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy and offers an enriched curriculum with core staff supported by specialists in music, dance and drama. Our expert teachers maintain a rich classroom environment where students are challenged to learn and explore to ensure their readiness for school.
Primary (Years 1-6)
Time to work & play
The primary school day is divided into five teaching periods, with two breaks to eat, and play in either our large indoor playground and outdoor recreation area, or in the Auckland Domain (with supervision).
From Year 1, your child will be given appropriate homework activities, to help them extend and practice their classroom learning.
Middle (Years 7-11)
Specialist learning & enrichment
In the middle school, students are taught by specialist teachers and have the chance to use specialist learning facilities.
Our courses are flexible, and individualised to meet your child’s needs. Strengths are identified so students can develop their talents, while the programme identifies any weaknesses so teachers can support students to move forward.
Senior (Years 12-13)
A balanced & challenging curriculum
In Years 12 to 13, we offer a well-rounded, challenging curriculum. Students are taught by specialist teachers, and have the opportunity to choose some of their own subject areas.
At this level, we aim to prepare your child for a high level of success in their chosen qualification, and prepare them for further study at university.
ACG Parnell College, Senior Campus prepares Year 12 and 13 students for university by offering a choice between Cambridge A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
